Calming agitated behavior in a dementia person(part 3)

Calming a dementia person when he/she is agitated can be most challenging, but if you read this blog over the next series of posts, you will go a long way in solving this occurance.

Next, you as the caregiver, loved one,healthcare professional or special friend need to take care of yourself. How can you help someone if you are not in decent shape? 

How can you accomplish this? You need to have much deserved breaks from the caregiving task. You may need to hire outside help, enlist other family members or friends, enroll your loved one in adult day care, or take advantage of respite care.

If you are enlisting other family members and /or friends io be part time caregivers, you may want to visit this site so you can be assured that your helpers will know what they are doing.
