How to stick to New Year’s resolutions(part 6)

It is all about sticking to the plan when it comes to keeping your New Year’s resolutions. If your resolutions are good ones such as the one I suggested about developing an exercise program  for yourself. Then you will go a long way in staving off dementia as well as other diseases.

So how then do you stick to the plan. Exercise at the same time on the same day every week.
Treat exercise as you would a very important appointment. It is extremely important.
Keep track of your exercise times on a calendar
Reward yourself by sticking to the plan for two weeks then for three. You get the picture.
Buy yourself a new article of clothing as a reward
Exercise with a friend or family member. However if for some reason they cannot make it, exercise without them

Out of all that you mentioned, the most important one for me is to exercise with a friend. We both motivate each other and stick to our schedule. It’s great.
