How to have a safe Christmas tree for those with dementia(part 2)

First you must determine if the dementia person has unsafe behaviors that necessitate modifications of a Christmas tree and the decorations on it.Does the person have pica?That is, does he/she like to put everything in his/her mouth?Is the person a shopper?That is, does he/she like to take things from one place and store them somewhere else?Does the person like to pull and push things?That is, will they knock a tree over?  

The next post will discuss adapting and modifying the Christmas tree decorating experience into a safe experience and ultimately having a Christmas tree that everyone can enjoy
