How to make sense of oxidative stress and dementia(part 10)
When trying to stave of Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias, and other diseases, and you take supplements rather than eat good foods, what are the risks? What are the benefits?
First of all you have to check the ingredients of the supplements, whether they are natural or synthetically produced, if they contain any potentially harmful products, especially if you are on some medications.
It is always best to check with your doctor for possible interactions with any medications you may be taking.
These are anti-oxidant supplements that are sold:sea algae, pine bark (pycnogenol), milk thistle, gingo biloba, quercetin, grape seed extract and alpha lipoic acid.. Are these natural substances? Do they help fight off diseases like Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia?.
