How to make sense of oxidative stress and dementia(part 9)

When trying to stave of Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias, and other diseases, it is best to eat foods rich in anti-oxidants as mentioned in previous posts.

However some people for whatever reason, choose not to eat these foods and take vitamins or supplements instead.

There was news recently about eating a handful of nuts to further decrease your chances of getting serious diseases like Alzheimer’s or heart disease.

Although nuts are not high in anti-oxidants, they are high in mono saturated fats. This is a topic for another time. However it was newsworthy

Any way I digressed so…..

Tomorrow some things to look out for when you take supplements rather than eat good anti-oxidant sources.
