How to make sense of oxidative stress and dementia(part7)
To combat oxidative stress and ultimately dementia, we were discussing some foods that are a good source of anti-oxidants and why?
Let’s continue the discussion.
But before we do, I will answer another question from yesterday
It was said that even foods made with “something” were also ways to get anti-oxidants in your diet.
The answer is even foods made with tomatoes are sources of anti-oxidants.
Here is another fact. Watermelon also has lycopene. Thus it is also an anti-oxidant food.
Other foods high in antioxidants are:
Carrots- Carrots are good because they are rich in beta carotenes.
Just a thought about a comment from yesterday. Yes omega 3 fish oil most likely helps to combat the effects of dementia. However, omega 3 fish oil is not an antioxidant
